People with Disabilities

For a long time, people with disability have been discriminated against. With a population of over three million no official policy has been established regarding their welfare.

FORD-KENYA will strive to:

1. Offer free medical services in public medical institutions

2. Offer free specialized education

3. Establish seats for people with disabilities in all decision-making organs

4. Enact disability-friendly labour laws

5. Establish a Ministry/Standing Commission to address the welfare of people with disabilities

6. Ensure infrastructure and buildings are disability-friendly
