Senior Citizens

Senior citizens have increasingly become marginalized and their welfare ignored.

FORD-KENYA believes that every Kenyan who has contributed to the growth of the country in any way must be taken care of during their sunset years.

FORD-KENYA will endeavour to secure the welfare of all senior citizens by:

1. Expanding the pension scheme to provide unemployed people with income

2. To lower the pension age

3. Enact legislation to transform NSSF into a savings bank and holdings thereof transferred into shares attracting monthly profits

4. Ensure timely payment of pension dues and up-grading of pension gratuities to tally with periodic salary increments
