25.0 POLICY AND STRATEGY COMMITTEE (PSC)
In order to achieve the objectives of this manifesto, PSC will be the Central policy implementation and monitoring organ. It will have the mandate to ensure that this Manifesto is implemented in full. The PSC will work in a bottom-up collaborative approach to ensure effective and timely implementation. The implementation will be resource-driven, time-bound implying that a pre-determined time table and work plan will be put in place together with specified targets so that implementation can be monitored and performance evaluated. Possible bottlenecks that could affect implementation will be identified in good time and modalities and options to deal with them developed accordingly.
The terms of reference of PSC are to undertake:
1. Strategic planning
2. Policy research formulation and analysis
3. Policy implementation, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment
4. Information gathering, data collection, storage and dissemination
5. Policy dissemination and marketing
6. Collaborative policy research and coordination
7. Development of Party’s Position Papers, Platforms and Manifestos
8. Political analysis and strategy;
9. Oversee implementation of Manifesto.
